About Dr. Mardikian
Dr. Pascale Mardikian is a dedicated and compassionate psychiatrist, certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, specializing in adult psychiatry. She firmly believes that psychiatric illnesses should be treated with the same level of care and precision as medical conditions. Through accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment, Dr. Mardikian is committed to helping her patients achieve remission and restore/improve their quality of life. With a deep understanding that every individual is unique, Dr. Mardikian considers each patient’s personality, biology, and life story to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that may include medications, talk therapy, or other tailored interventions.
Originally from France, Dr. Mardikian completed her undergraduate and medical education in Paris and the South of France. She began her medical career in family medicine before transitioning to psychiatry, completing post-doctoral training in addiction and her psychiatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
With over a decade of experience since beginning her practice in 2011, she has gained extensive expertise in outpatient and inpatient settings, including early work with veterans at the VA, focusing on PTSD and trauma-related disorders. Dr. Mardikian has a particular interest in treating adults with mood and anxiety disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, PTSD, and panic disorder.
In 2019, she further specialized in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), an innovative treatment for treatment-resistant depression, training under the renowned Dr. Mark George. Over the past four years, she has successfully incorporated TMS therapy at Tricounty Behavioral Health, transforming the lives of many patients struggling with chronic depression.
Having resided in the Charleston area for over two decades, Dr. Mardikian brings a unique cultural perspective to her practice, combining her European background with local insights to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
